"The location is right on the beach which is perfect a very relaxing feeling which I enjoyed. We lost our power for three or four hours which is kind of scary no backup generators. They had problems with the water drinking water which was a nuisance but everyone tried hard and I would recommend it for a no nonsense good place at the beach "

"This is a hard place to rate. We liked it, but many won't. Lobby is open air, and dogs are sleeping there peacefully. The walk to your room is not through shining marble halls, but through a rain forest. No matter how often your room is cleaned, there will always be sand. If you like all-inclusives, you will probably hate this place (and vice versa). We had the top floor, with the ocean view. Easy walk to the beach, the cabana eateries, restaurants, bars, and the rest of town. We would go back. YMMV. You know who you are. "

"I wasn't wrong to choose Playa Canela Hotel Boutique for my vacation. Without exaggeration, this is a hidden paradise with spectacular views. The owner and staff treat you like family, are very attentive to your needs, and the breakfast is excellent. I definitely recommend it and would return for my next vacation."
