"Needs updating. Carpet was stained. Had to pay extra for a “deluxe” room because the stained carpet was disgusting. Weird stair situation."

"Interesting old manor. Guests can wander through the gardens and beautiful old manor rooms. There is a nice swimming pool area in the gardens. The estate produces an excellent white wine. You can preorder diner on most days but there are only 8 guest rooms so there may not be many takers. A car is needed as the estate is out of town. The staff were helpful and friendly. The breakfast was excellent. This is an old house so it takes some time for the hot water to come through to the shower and the dining and communal sitting room could be drafty in cold weather. The rooms have air conditioning/heating units. Wonderful historic house."

"Nice stay in a lovely hotel with parking, but do not pay for the breakfast. The breakfast was supposed to be a buffet, but due to low occupancy it was changed to a la carte. We were given a paper to fill out and return to the front desk with our breakfast choices. The breakfast was terrible! The toast were hard and cold, the bacon was not even warm and the "sausage" were mini weiners out of a can. Save the money and go to a local coffee shop for breakfast if you have the choice."

"Close to historic site and restaurants. Excellent breakfast and the massage was good. Hotel bed, room, and bathroom is a good size. The downside is you’ll need to pay for spa services daily to use the pool. Hot tub is luke warm and the steam room could use eucalyptus or something to give it a spa feeling. Would be nice if pool access didn’t require a spa service. Also cap purchase required if you didn’t bring your own."

"The reason I gave it 4 stars is because when I booked it it stated it had a bathtub but it was a shower. Also it said it had a hot tub but it was broken. The shower water was spraying everywhere. The wifi doesn’t have great reception tv doesn’t work as it can’t connect to wifi. Staff is very nice but it stated on website they speak Portuguese and English, no one speaks English there the owner did use google translate. It’s very clean and beautiful hotel. "
