"I am obsessed with trains. I didn't pick a train side room because I knew the river was what I wanted more on this trip. but I wish I could've done both at the same time! The staff was courteous and knowledgable. I had to leave too early for breakfast and they offered and it was packed it for me. there is a kettle in the room! this is gold! and they were so good with when I really should leave for the airport and getting the taxi."

"The staff were very kind and welcoming. They helped us store our bags and get breakfast as we arrived early. The only downside was the cleanliness. The view from the bedroom was beautiful! The dishwasher was filthy when we arrived and we tried to turn it on the clean it but could not turn it on. The washing machine also did not look clean. Some of the furniture is stained and the bathroom connected to the bedroom was run down and washing faucet was not secure on the wall."

"Basic hotel. Rooms clean but small. Bathroom in need of a little maintenance. No bar and outside courtyard space very disappointing. Didn’t take breakfast at €15 each - instead used the excellent ‘Breakfast’ lovers, a few minutes walk away. Staff on front desk friendly and helpful when asked. Hotel in very good central location, but on a steep hill. Very quite within the hotel, except the rumble of the 28e tram."

Realmente adoramos, fica próximo ao Castelo de São Jorge, próximo a Praça do Comércio, a Catedral da Sé, a Igreja de Santo António (local de nascimento dele), realmente indico demais este hotel. Estão de PARABÉNS muito acima da média da EUROPA em termos de recepção. Apenas uma indicação (colocar um Pão de Queijo no café da Manhã). "Lovely hotel in a great position in Alfama, can get to most places on foot if you can handle the hills/steps. Staff were really friendly and helpful particularly Carol on breakfast duty and Cape and Sara on front desk. Gym and spa area are a bit limited but with all of the walking the gym wasn’t really necessary. Breakfast was really good with a range of options and choice of a variety of egg-based dishes also available. A revelation for me was the availability of chilled port! I’ve only ever...

Is another 15-20 minute hike uphill. Uber driver didn't know where hotel was. Just dropped us off a block away and said "use GPS.""

"The hotel and amenities were amazing, but the staff made this stay INCREDIBLE. SO friendly and accommodating. My son left a few beloved stuffed animals behind, and the hotel staff found them and shipped them to us at home in the USA within a week! Not only that, they sent us a personalized laminated book where they wrote about the plushies' adventures and photoshopped them into various locations around portugal. "The hotel itself is well situated and the provide a complementary walking tour with Pedro, absolutely a must do. As a bonus the hotel restaurant was excellent and very convenient. Excellent service by Neno, and the menu is a nice fusion traditional dishes with a modern interpretation also worth experiencing."
