"It is a beautiful location. Stunning pool and surrounds - unfortunately the condition of the timber walkways is a real concern. Crystalbrook Byron has to spend a lot of time and money to replace and make good these walkways, to lift their profile and compete in this retreat space."

"The room was not properly cleaned and, in all likelihood, had not been for some time. Shards of broken glass were scattered around on the floor, shower cubicle was very slippery as had not been properly cleaned beyond a cursory wipe-over. Somehow the front desk staff were critical of US for not notifying them earlier - not a very friendly or empathetic response."

Because of the bad weather (always happens to us, when we go away it rains) we were glad of the covered deck outside. "Stayed in deluxe room with own en-suite. Room was clean & comfortable. Ideal for my short-term stay (3 nights), albeit a little expensive for a hostel. Had to close bathroom door overnight as fan would stay on for some reason which was loud. Didn’t use the facilities on site but staff seemed friendly & overall the building was well maintained. Pool also looked clean but didn’t use it. "

We loved the room had both aircon and a ceiling fan and came with additional extras such as a nice beach bag and beach towels.
