"This is my second stay once in 2020 now in 2026. Both times were great and peaceful. I did notice after showering, the place smelled awful. Not sure what’s going on with the drainage/septic tank.. idk, other than that stay was great."

"I stay here regularly for business and appreciate how convenient the property is to other amenities. For example, I walked to grab coffee in the morning from Pacific Java Cafe and walked to pick up dinner from Moonstruck. It was nice not having to drive to places for food after a long work day. The rooms are always really clean and the proximity to the beach cannot be beat. Some minor things that I would change would be spotty cell service throughout the building (I always have to bring my MiFi)...

"A good place if you plan to stay 1 night don’t expect a luxurious room like those expensive hotels. So if you’re okay with that then a good place to stay. Beautiful view on a clear day and see the ocean & there is walking distance beach nearby. During our stay there there were neighbors who were being loud/obnoxious , can hear everything but other than that good stay."

"The Coastal Retreat is very cute inside. I love the way it is decorated. It was nice having the fans in the bedrooms, which were spacious enough. The kitchen was nice and spacious as well. The bathroom was nice, ,especially the shower head. I would not say that this home accommodates 6 people. We had 5 in our family. There is an ottoman that folds out as a “bed”, and bedding available for it, however the couch is on the slimmer side and I would not consider it for sleeping. The ottoman attached...

"Walked into the door and BAM! Husband and started having breathing problems. My face started swelling and itching I have barely non existent allergies and previous history of asthma. It smelled so bad and perfume and scented cleaners. Walked into the unit. Dirty all over the inside of the front door. It’s literally a room with a bed. There is NO bathroom door. Just a weird plastic half door. Soap bubbling at the bottom of the sink. Mold on the baseboards. Had to relocate immediately in order...

"We recently stayed here just for one night. The room faced the ocean and it was incredible. Value Wise, I don’t think you could do any better than what this place offers. They had a nice wine and cheese event, which was fun. The booking also includes a free breakfast, which was very delicious."

"We had a lovely one night stay here. The location was amazing - we enjoyed walking down to the tide pools and to see the seals on the beach. The property was beautiful and the room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was very tasty, and we enjoyed our sipping our cocktail hour glass of wine out in the garden. "Initially I was searching around Union Square for a weekend get away with the fam, but that changed very quick due to daily parking fees and higher prices for rooms. I turned my search towards SFO and found this gem. It was a no brainer. Parking fees were pocket change per night, but what sold me was free daily breakfast!. Property is fairly new and beautiful!. Staff was beyond helpful and friendly, rooms were spacious, clean, and very comfortable. One other plus is the retail downstairs....
