We had friends visit us for lunch one day, they were staying at other resorts and were impressed with our site. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. "Quite far to get to from Stonetown but a stunning location. It’s boutique hotel so not the facilities of a mega resort but the local friendly staff arranged a couple of excellent things for me and I really enjoyed the intimate atmosphere. Great food too with sea views. I also enjoyed a massaged in a small hut by the sea so could hear the surf. "

"I am a solo female traveller. Zanzibar House is an excellent property in so many ways. The staff are friendly and helpful. The grounds are a delight to be in, with lots of comfortable places to sit and read or contemplate the beauty of the area. I did not use the pool and I am sure it would be lovely. At night time I had an evening meal which was tasty and they accommodated my dietary requirements very well. I am gluten intolerant. I recommend this hotel if you like quiet and beauty filled...

"We had a very nice stay at this hotel. There were some mixed experiences as we did not like the set dinner menu and the breakfast but were blown away by the lunch. We would recommend to not play music at the pool and change the black and white plastic cups to at least seethrough plastic glasses which would better fit the rest of the hotel experience."

"Lovely small hotel with direct access to the beach. Very smiley, attentive staff. Comfortable rooms, though the shower was a little disappointing. We enjoyed our meals, especially the fish stew. Breakfast was good. Would definitely recommend this charming hotel, having really enjoyed the three nights we stayed there. My husband would thoroughly recommend the massage which he rated one of the best and reasonably priced too!"

"Stunning hotel, very reasonable price. We ended up opting for half board and this worked out well for us. There was always plenty of options on the buffet which were good, we did not find that the ala carte options were very tasty at all. The staff were all so kind and helpful. The private beach was lovely, though unfortunately you still get harassed by beach boys who are generally nice but annoying. The room was always clean, the staff smiling. The pool is beautiful and I love the extra inclusions as well as the little gifts! Godlisten and Rachel were especially wonderful. We would absolutely recommend. "
