Hotels near Khlong Khong Beach

"Checked in and immediately out. Broken AC leaking water as soon as we got into the room. Overwhelming fake fragrance to hide the mold smell. Water damage and dirty. Water holding tank outside is broken and dirty, owner claims its filtered but water smells so bad. Towels smelt horrible, which we now understand why as they are dried improperly in the back.... the owner was rude and happy to take our money with no refund policy, as we had no choice but to move hotels and not stay. There is nothing "boutique" about this hotel, its a scam."

"Not as advertised at all. No ocean view. About 5 minute walk to the beach at not an ideal beach location. All kinds of garbage and mess around the property. Been in Thailand a month and worst hotel I’ve stayed at. "

"The front desk woman is fantastic. But it’s not on the beach, about 5 minute walk away though a dirt road with all kinds of garbage around. There is no beach bar. When packing after 3 nights, my suitcase was infested with bugs. Been in Thailand for a month and it was the worst, most deceptive hotel I’ve stayed at and I’ve stayed at around 7 others. "Great room great pool also great spot if you want to be close to the "city" with a mopped but far enough that its calm. Also the beach aint really a beach but there is 2-3 spots to eat and get a massage 5min walk from the hotel. "

"What a stay at Lanta L1 Resort. Loved it and didnt want to leave. Dutch looked after me from day one- answered all my questions, helped me hire a scooter and sort my transfers. The ladies on the resort were lovely, always welcoming. The dome i stayed jn was amazing! So spacious and i loved the layout with the private bathroom too. Perfecr walk to the beach and near by grrat restaurants. "

"The room is basic but nice for a short stay. The location is nice right next to the beach. Unfortunately we had a problem with ants in our Bungalow. When waking up in the morning there was quite an infestation. When raised to staff that were there they were not very quick to investigate, and when I spoke to who I presume was the manager that day she asked if we’d had food in the bungalow. On check in instructions it stated food was allowed in the bungalow, but not at the beach/restaurant. We had milk and cereal which were unopened and kept in the fridge provided. And noodles the night before, and the containers we washed out and placed in the bin provided. The ants were not contained to a specific area but were EVERYWHERE. I do not blame the staff on that day, as these things do happen, but it was disappointing that it wasn’t acted on with any urgency and, as two younger women travelling, we felt like no one really wanted to listen. It felt like the finger was pointed at us immediately and that it was our fault as ‘the bungalow was cleaned before you check in’. To clarify, there were ants on our arrival to the bungalow, but we have been travelling for 3 months and understand that there are going to be a few critters getting into your room, but not to this extent. I don’t want to slate Isara completely, but we did not have a great experience."

"Staff was nice, comfortable bed, useful fridge, but the rest of the room need to be reviewed and updated. Clean but presence of insects in the room (ants and centipedes). Delicious and varied food at the restaurant. Good massage at the beach. Ocean is beautiful but lots of rocks and corals. Very quiet place, close to stores "
