Oros Luxury Beach Resort

"We had a fabulous time at Oros Resort. The staff, especially, were universally fantastic – warm, friendly and professional and could not do enough for us. Even though it caters to families, it is also a great romantic couples resort. With separate pools for families and adults and a lot of space it always feels calm, quiet and relaxed. The resort is finished to a very high standard and is very well thought out. The rooms are excellent. The resort’s part of the beach is the best on Episkopi – soft sand and, again, great attentive staff who are always on the lookout for things they can do for you. The one observation I would make is the resort is a long way on foot from a town and, although there are beach bars and tavernas along the beach, they are spread out, with often a fair distance between. The resort restaurants are great but if you want to find local tavernas outside be prepared for a 30 minute walk. All the tavernas between Georgioupoli and Petres could do with a shuttle bus to move people around. A special shout out for the restaurant Yaku which was amazing. We were initially surprised by the idea Nikkei cuisine in Crete but it was truly beautiful and, again, all the staff were brilliant. Chef Nikos Skamnakis is a master!"

"⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An excellent experience. The place is very clean and well maintained, both the rooms and the common areas. You can tell that the cleaning team does a fantastic job and pays great attention to detail. I would especially like to highlight the friendliness and professionalism of all the staff. They were always very attentive, polite, and willing to help whenever needed. The service we received made our stay even more enjoyable. Definitely a highly recommended."

"We travelled from Canada to Crete and this hotel was amazing. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and everything you need is provided. There’s no need to reserve beach beds- there are plenty available. The buffet offered a wide variety of diverse food options. We really loved the warm Greek hospitality, which feels so different from Caribbean resorts. We will definitely go back!"

"Everything at this property was amazing. What was exceptional was the front desk, and everyone from the barman to the janitor and cleaning staff. Everyone was very warm and welcoming. The property is on the beach and very well situated. You are minutes drive from many sites. Would definitely recommend this property."

"This charming hotel close to beautiful beaches, restaurants and shops was the perfect place to stay on our vacation to Crete. I personally enjoy staying at smaller, more intimate hotels like this when in Europe. The proprietors are so friendly and helpful. The property is well-maintained with rooms cleaned daily. Showers are tiny, but functional. We loved dipping in the refreshing pool after a long day of sightseeing. We enjoyed the breakfast, which includes homemade cookies and other yummy baked goods as well as eggs, yogurt, meats, fruit and cereal. Each room also had a clothesline, which is the one thing I didn’t know I needed so much on this trip! There’s air conditioning and TV as well (although there’s so much to do in this area that I never turned on the TV!). I truly enjoyed my stay here."

"Lovely room and pool. Location is very convenient as there are many shops and restaurants around the corner, as well as the beach. Room was spotless every day, fresh towels and sheets after each clean. Staff were very friendly. We really enjoyed our stay and would absolutely come back. The only con to this hotel is the hair dryer. If you have thick, low-porosity hair, it will not work. I’d suggest bringing your own."

"Fabulous location , set in its own grounds so very relaxed . Stella is simply the most wonderful host , very kind , very friendly and very helpful. Our room was and remained spotless , whilst the property is maybe no new , it’s impossible to age as everything was immaculate . Great aircon and decent shower. The pool was brilliant such a tranquil spot . We loved our stay at Reina . Thanks Stella . "
