"Loved the location and grounds, doing some work on property, some of cabanas and gazebos needed work. Great path to cliffs, and pathways great. Breakfast was great, lots of selection. Pools looked lovely. Part of facility ran out of water our 2nd night and part of next day, no coffee etc at breakfast or shower access. It did come back, but we were checking out. Loved the authentic feeling of it."

The room we had was very dated, the bed was low and quite hard, there was no shower curtain so water sprayed all over the bathroom, and there was a slight smell of sewage coming from the toilet area. I think this was just particular to our room so I don't want to deter you from giving it a try because it's got some really good things as I mentioned above. "We were at the end of a wonderful split trip that started with 4 nights in Lisbon followed by 4 nights in Salema (Algarve) with 2 final nights in Lisbon. We decided on the houseboat for the last two nights and so glad we did. Family if 4 with two teenagers. Great food and drink within a short walk, safe, clean, spacious and right on the water. Don’t miss live music at “Black Label” on the corner almost nightly. Great time and we’ll be back."

"We had a nice stay with Solar de Mos. The property is beautiful but our room was smaller than expected but I do know all rooms are slightly different. It’s a very cute boutique hotel that has preserved its beauty over the years. The pool is stunning, clean and we loved the pink hotel with yellow seating. "I loved every bit of this hotel down to the little things . Room was clean and they offer to change daily if you want .breakfast buffet was off the charts with soo many options which I loved . Staff was very friendly and helpful . Very serene and quiet around the hotel which was important for me . It’s walkable to beach and the old town so it’s perfect to do many things around without a car"

"While we enjoyed our stay, this resort is tired and dated. I expected a luxurious resort and did not find that. It just feels old and in need of renovations and improvements. We were very disappointed with the accommodations. The first room we had didn't look anything like the photos so they kindly moved us to a larger villa, but that was of equal vintage and while larger, was further away and isolated. The staff however was very kind and helpful."

"We asked front desk for an excursion and they reserved it for us. After the excursion, we went back to tell them that the things that we were told would happen on the excursion never happened. The person at the front desk responded with, “well you should’ve asked for it” instead of apologizing. Never offered to help resolve the issue with the company that they booked."
