"Beware! After check in, I went to the desk to report my AC. They said someone was coming. I waited an hour and a half and went back. They changed my room. I drove to the beach (1.5 miles) and found that I couldn’t park in the lot. $10 to park up the road. The hotel was dingy, old and in bad need of renovations. Smelled like mold. I packed up and left. Don’t let the pretty pool fool you. There were only 3 families in the entire hotel. I KNOW WHY."

"Everything was very nice from the room to breakfast to the staff. The only one thing that could be improved is the entry/exit gate that needs manual opening. If you're leaving late, exit should be automatic, and the wait to trigger gate opening can be lengthy. I will definitely stay there again!"

Nikki, the receptionist on duty during our stay, was a wonderful help to us and devoted some of her own time helping us plan our time in Jaco. The pool is lovely, and the hostel owners make a wonderful Gallo Pinto for breakfast every morning."

"The overall property is very beautiful, located in a forest setting. The open air restaurant with its observation deck is a great place for birdwatching since there are feeders at the edge of the deck and the staff puts out fruit and seeds early when the birds are active. "We stayed here about 4 years in a row. LOVE THIS PLACE. Splurge for the villa. Just steps from the pool and steps to the beach too. Perfect for kids! Plenty of space. Will return again and again. Oh and AMAZING FOOD, good prices for kids menu. Kids meals are like $7-8. They have sunset 2x1 drinks so grab your 2 pina coladas for $8. Just heavenly location."
