"Room was clean, beds were comfortable. However you could hear everyone outside in the hallway, not those quietly walking by but def. people talking in a normal voice or louder. Thankfully, it was middle of winter and not too many people were there anyway. Would probably stay again. "
"Overall a great stay! We stayed during the record blizzard a week ago. We were due to check out on Monday and after packing up our stuff and trying to head out for a snowmobile ride it was clear we weren’t going anywhere! A quick call to the front desk and I was met with nothing but friendly helpfulness!!! All guests were already assumed to be staying and not checking out. The answer to my second question came as a pleasant surprise, “is by chance the restaurant open?” It was!!!! We trekked our way across the snow filled parking lot to get some lunch. Another surprise! “Come on in, what would you like to drink? We’ve got food for everyone. We are all in the same boat, might as well make the best of it.” Not only were we able to stay in our room, they were providing us with food and non-alcoholic drinks!!! And let me tell you, this wasn’t just let’s see what we can find food, it was a delicious spread!!!! Dinner was another, all different than lunch, delicious spread!!! Breakfast the next morning was more than the normal provided breakfast. We were able to dig out on Tuesday with the help of plow trucks and a group digging effort from several hotel guests working together. Are there some things about the rooms that are a bit dated? Yes. Was the wall heating/cooling unit a bit loud? yes. Was my room clean? YES! Was the bed comfortable? YES! The best part of our stay though was the exceptionally friendly, caring, helpful staff! We will stay again 😊"
"This stay was a disaster. The map pin is completely wrong — the cabin is 3.5 miles from Munising, not on the water, and not even in city limits. It sits on a busy highway with constant semi-truck traffic and engine braking, making it impossible to sleep. A white noise machine was provided but not shown in listing photos — clearly meant to hide how loud it is.
The so-called “mini kitchen” had no stove or oven, just a microwave, mini-fridge, and a sink too small to wash a plate. We brought groceries we couldn’t use. The “lanai” is just a concrete step with two chairs. The listing also claimed there was a fire extinguisher — there wasn’t — even though there’s a fire pit right outside. Serious safety issue.
Hot water lasted 8 minutes, then needed 30 minutes to reheat. The cabin “sleeps 4” but came with just 2 plates and 2 bowls, and the dishes were dirty. No check-in info, no on-site staff, and a $100 cleaning fee for what turned out to be a VRBO rental disguised as a hotel on Expedia.
I contacted the host and received no response for over a day. Absolutely would not stay here again."
