During my recent stay, I encountered a very challenging situation with a staff member named Jose from Corporate Stays. Upon arrival, I was informed that my reservation could not be located and that I would need to resubmit payment. I provided my receipt as proof of payment, but I was told the transaction had not processed.
To resolve the issue, I immediately contacted Expedia, who confirmed my reservation, resent the confirmation, and spoke directly with the staff on my behalf. Despite this, Jose continued to dispute the validity of my booking and was uncooperative throughout the process.
As a result, I had to reach out to Corporate Stays directly to get the matter resolved. This was particularly stressful, as I had just traveled internationally to Panama and was at risk of not having accommodations, despite having a confirmed reservation.
Throughout the interaction, Jose’s demeanor was unprofessional and dismissive. He appeared unwilling to consider the documentation and third-party confirmation provided, and the situation was further complicated by inconsistent communication with his team.
While Arcadia is a beautiful property and a place I have enjoyed staying at in the past, this experience with the check-in process and staff was disappointing and significantly impacted my arrival. It took several hours to reach a resolution.
I hope this feedback is taken into consideration to improve the guest experience moving forward.It feels like they were taking advantage
