  • Pelican patiently waits for some fish scraps from the user of a man cleaning his fish. There are 2 piers in Panama and both cost $3 to walk them. The one closest to Pier Park is further out into the Gulf so it's more worth it if you can only do 1 pier. They do stamp your hand so you can go on and off it all day. On the pier a lot of people fish so watch for them hooks. From what I was told to fish in Florida you need a salt water and a fresh water licence in order to fish in the different waters. There are also signs posted on the pier about how to handle a situation if sea turtles get caught.

My stay was amazing was a 100 dollar deposit but wasnt terrible the pool area was very clean and taking care of bed was comfy wasnt bad could literally walk to the beach best budget hotel ive been to in a while

The pool was very green, and parking was very limited. Other than that, we actually had a wonderful stay! The beds were way more comfortable than some high end hotel beds. This location is conveniently located to everything you need.

It was a nice homey environment. While the room we stayed in definitely could have used some work, the mom and daughter ( I think ) that run the place are so very kind. The pool area was nice, and overall I would love to go back and would love to see some improvements on the rooms.

This is a great low budget hotel for anyone who is just trying to sleep nights in their room and enjoy the rest of their day at the beach close by! Overall not a bad location! A little extra sanitizing on your part and you’ll feel like home! Nice pool as well.

Banana Peel lodge was the perfect getaway stay. The staff was friendly and helpful. I enjoyed the beer pong table and pool area. Staying at BPL was relaxing. We didnt have to worry about a crowded hotel full of your average PCB seasonal beach goers. The house mom was sweet and sassy like an auntie we all have. Loved our stay would be awesome if they had food.

we had a lot of fun staying here. it’s really close to a lot of fun activities. it was nice being in walking distance from a few restaurants and a bar. the place is definitely not the cleanest, but it’s good for the price. it’s definitely a party hotel as there was a pool table, foosball, twister and some beer pong, but me and my boyfriend are in our 20s so it was great for us. the staff was great and i love that there is a convince store in the office! we would definitely stay here again.

3 stars because it’s old and spot repaired but ok!

Average and you can tell they really are trying very hard to make it a good experience within the confines of a very limited budget. Staff was awesome! To be where it is so close to the beach at the price it was then I say awesome deal. They really make sure the no smoking is enforced. It wasn’t until the day we were checking out you had some nerd smoking the funny cigarettes and invading everyone’s breathing space. Others obeyed the rules and smoked in the proper areas.
