"A small but friendly hotel with a very highly recommended restaurant. I booked a single room which was perfectly suited to my needs. Parking is tight but that has to be expected in a Medieval town that was built for horses not cars. Overall a very pleasant stay. I would certainly stay again. "

"Friendly welcome, check-in desk in an awkward place, feel like your in the way of the bar staff or customers queuing the bar. Causing an obstruction with suitcases for someone wherever you stand. Room spacious and clean, plenty of tea, cofee milk etc provided. Had dinner, which was good and even had a go at the quiz! Breakfast the following morning was ok. There seemed to be some sort of staff meeting going on at one part of the dining room, and so there wasnt much instruction on what to do with regards helping yourself to tea or coffee etc, or care taken to provide much of a service, ordered at the bar, i had an omelette and it tasted a bit burnt in places. Server looked like she was the only one working and hence why maybe she didnt look happy to be there, but she wasnt rude at least. "

"It is a clean and tidy hotel perfectly located. It is a bit dated and in need of some TLC. When I am back in Spalding on business, i will more than likely stay here again simply for its great location. "

"Friendly staff and comfortable room in a great location, only blemish was the paper-thin flooring separating us from the guests directly above. When the footsteps stopped thumping, we could hear their conversation quite clearly. The restaurant gave us a good meal at a reasonable price and the front desk crew could not have been more welcoming."
