"Old and very tired, in need of refurbishment. Three main things define a quality room - Plumbing, Pillows and Aircon, FAIL on all 3. You can hear other people's plumbing running. The pillows are thin cheap ones probably bought from Coles and the aircon was ineffective. Had to set it to 17C and flat out to even get the room down to a temperature where I wasn't sweating. Hardly slept and won't ever stay here again!"

The rooms were clean, the staff were nice and the amenities were so well maintained. Highly highly highly recommend if you are coming to the Gold Coast since it is right by the beach and walkable to a lot of places! Will come back for sure!"

"I was lucky to have a very high floor so views were amazing! The bed and pillows are five star. The only glitch was retrieving keys/cards from corner shop...its awfully unorganised and just a mess to search through. I figured it out, but im sure there are many who struggle. Im surprised there isn't another organised, designated area to collect them..like Circle on Cavill Hotels do."

"Is based on busy intersection. I checked in on Saturday night. Very busy, lots of people noisey. Was right by lift. Clean room but lots of road noise and screaming from reverse bungy but is right in center of surfers so well placed. Pool looked grubby so didnt use. Staff were helpful and nice"

"One of the best locations on the Gold Coast. The managers were excellent to deal with and made our stay most enjoyable. The views from our apartment were magnificent and the property had fantastic amenities. We would highly recommend The Waterford to anyone wanting a self contained apartment centrally located on the Gold Coast. We will be back."

"I liked that tram was right next to it the hotel, was convenient to go shopping the room I stayed had a nice view of some parts of the beach, Staff were friendly welcoming and helpful, 5 to 10min walk close to beach, restaurants and cafes. Breakfast was average the variety of the basics it was convenient to have and go to our daily activities"

"2-3 star hotel at best. The 5 star is misleading and somewhat false advertising. There is nothing 5 star about the hotel, rooms or experience. Curtains are NOT black out, rooms are NOT soundproofed. Cheap amenities, shower head is a basic handheld. You are provided 2 thin towels. Expect stains. The “king size” bed is the ol 2 single beds mushed together and NOT an actual king size bed. If you want late checkout expect to pay $50 per hour but then get woken by bangs on the door from housekeeping...

"Did a late-check in which was difficult to organise on the day (search for the hotel for contact details, the number on Expedia just rings out) however after-hours security can get you in with booking number, ID and credit card ($200 deposit). 2-ply toilet paper was really disappointing after the impression the lobby made. Short walk from public transport and amenities. Would recommend if this was cheaper than the $230ish we paid p/night."
