"Loved staying at Cross Inn! Stayed one night while going through Lewis and Harris and it was exactly what we needed. Quiet and comfortable bed and breakfast and perfect location. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a great place to stay while in Lewis!"

"The place was clean and tidy, and the owner was very kind. But until I arrived I had no idea that the room did not have its own bathroom. Sandwick Bay was OK, but pretty limited. However Stornoway is a very limited place. No restaurants as such, Even the chippies shut at 8. Lewis has a lot going for it - north, west and south. Stornoway is the obvious place to stay - but is not much fun."

"The welcome by Linda was warm and personable and even though I arrived a bit early, my room was ready. I stayed in a single twin bed, it was comfortable and there was plenty of space for luggage, etc. The bathroom was newly renovated and the tiles and fixtures are top quality--best shower in Scotland! Well stocked coffee & tea station--specialty herbal teas and hot coco! Breakfast was delicious with a multitude of options. If you want porridge order the night before. It is a bit out of the center but very walkable. Great 3-day stay! Will definitely return!!!"
