The staff were great, room was clean and spacious. Good rate, I think because renos are ongoing, but I have stayed in premises being renovated before and have to say the impact on the cleanliness of halls etc was nil and even where workers were working in stairwell - very low impact. Nice bar downstairs. Looks like it is well set up for conventions or workshops

l liked a few things about the place, breakfast was good, but the Saturday waitress was not as polite as the other ones, the room was okay but the bed was sinking in the middle and we had to place the ironing board under the mattress to make it level and it was close to the casino.

Staff were great. Kind, well spoken, very helpful. Unfortunately due to the upgrades, the hotel did have a lot of amenities that were shut down, missing or straight up broken. Good things take time and it's obvious that they are working on it! One fair heads up, despite what their website says while booking, the jetted tubs are no longer a thing. It is a lovely walk in shower, however when you planned a whole "spa day" themed event in a suite for little ones and arrive to a shower.. bummer. On the topic of fun activities, the pool is functional, despite what the website says. The hot tub and saunas are broken and shut down though. Great overnight stay, limited amenities.

The room is great, but the stairways in from the back parking lot are in terrible shape and the parking lot is very poorly lit, so much so that one feels unsafe walking across from a parked vehicle.

When we tried putting something into the safe in our room, an alarm started going off. Then after a minute of that, someone that worked there just came in to the room without knocking. My sister and I were disappointed that they did not knock first and ask if we needed help, before just coming in. When we arrived there were only 2 towels in the room even though we booked in advance with 3 people on the booking. It took a long while to get the 3rd towel. I had to go to the front desk. The restaurant breakfast was great. Very happy with the morning service at the restaurant. The menu in the evening should have more options for kids and canadian food items. I had a picky eater with me and since he did not eat italian or indian, we had to do uber delivery. A picture of the chicken burger or salad would be helpful. The pool was out of service and I was looking forward to swimming. I have a sprained ankle so I specifically looked for a hotel with a pool. I would stay again, but feel like I would need to call in advance to see if the pool and restaurant lunch/dinners are functioning better. Lots of unfinished work in the hallways of the hotel. Not a big deal though. The price was reasonable so I trust that it took this into consideration. Consider hosting Trivia Nights in the Restaurant, as the floor plan is perfect for it in the bar area. Lots of potential to shine.
