"CAFÉ DA MANHÃ MUITO BOM , QUARTO OK , BANHO BOM , MAS FALTA MUITA MANUTENÇÃO NO HOTEL , UM POUCO SUJA A AREA COMUM , BAR DA PISCINA MUITO FRACO , MAS O HOTEL É OK"
"Lara, who serves the breakfast was so helpful in sharing the history of Otranto, giving a lot of advice what to see around Otranto. Every morning she was super cheerful and made us the best cappuccino. She is really the soul of this B&B."
"Too many high hidden fees for coming across as a Hotel. The director was very kind and polite. The 2 bedrooms villa was poorly designed. We learnt that the resort has been recently taken over by another owner. With did not have an unpleasant stay but I cannot accept fees that sum up to the cost of an extra night."
"Sehr schöne Anlage, sauberer Pool, grosszügige Zimmer inmitten von Reben und privater Zugang zum wunderbaren, öffentlichen Strand. Sehr empfehlenswert!"

"I've just come back from a fantastic week at Voi Daniela Essentia and already thinking of booking for next year. The resort was busy but quiet. It never looked crowded which made the holiday a lot more relaxing. The rooms are spacious and the beds are extremely comfortable and really big in size, possibly a uk queen size if not bigger. The pillows are slightly too thick for my likings but that did not spoil my sleeps! The resort is spotless! There is a great selection of food. We opted for half board. Although, one evening we went out for dinner and the hotel switched the dinner for the lunch, super accommodating. On the last day, we checked out at 3am and were given a very generous breakfast to go! Croissant, jams, french toasts, biscuits, an apple and some water! The staff is really friendly. There are plenty of sport activities during the day (yoga, aquagym, muscle awekening, padel, football, volleyball) and a different show every evening. My boys enjoyed the mini club too. There is also a photographer. The gym could do with a revamp but you find all the basics (dumbells, running nachine etc..). There is a train managed by the hotel which takes you from the hotel to the beach and we could also use the 2 local electric cars/trains. The alternative is to walk which is also very pleasant. 1-2km walk, absolutely fine to do. The hotel provides 1 set of beach towels per person for free, they can be returned and exchanged for 2€. We had an amazing time!"
"I really enjoyed the food — it offered a good variety, including options for vegan and celiac diets. The staff was very nice, and I’d like to give special mention to the animators and especially the gentleman making pizza on the beach. He was extremely kind and went out of his way to accommodate my sister‑in‑law’s celiac needs.
On the downside, I didn’t like the room. It had a strong damp smell, and there was no conditioner available. The quality of the soap and shampoo was very poor and almost impossible to use. The coffee at breakfast was also disappointing — it came from a machine and was horrible. Being in Italy, I was expecting a real espresso."
"My first impressions were that this is a well- appointed and sophisticated resort. The design is beautiful, but be aware that the entire resort is terraced off into multiple levels, so there is lots of stairs. However, there are some strategically located elevators for those that have trouble navigating flights of stairs.
My stay was during the first weekend of October 2024 and little did I know, that this is already considered the “off-season“. While that means more affordable lodging rates, it also means a muted vibe and a reduced level of services I’d expect in a 4-star resort.
Moreover, the resort is situated outside of town and a visit to the seafront, restaurants , and shops meant a 15 to 20 minute walk. While the resort does have a shuttle van, it was not in operation to transport guests to/from the seafront or the train station (I walked a mile/1.6 km with luggage from the station on check-in day). Uber was not available and no local buses were running in October.
The on-site restaurant was mediocre, with the exception of the breakfast which was great! There are 2 tiny bars, but a full-service lounge is needed.
But despite these criticisms for the resort as a whole, I must say that ALL of the staff I interacted with during my stay was friendly, professional and accommodating. They exhibited pride in what they did for guests.
Overall, I would still recommend a stay here. But be sure to ask a lot of questions about seasonal services before you book or visit. "
