As a Japanese person, I often stand out in this area where there are very few Asians and people sometimes look at me with curiosity. However, the front desk staff at this hotel provided excellent service. They had a list of recommended restaurants prepared in advance, and kindly explained how to use the public bus system. Although some of the staff only spoke Italian, it seems their policy is to always have English-speaking staff available, so I didn’t experience any inconvenience. One thing that did concern me, though, was that the air conditioning didn’t work during the day—perhaps due to centralized control or some other reason.
