"Chevin House is very handy for Leeds Bradford Airport and is set in lovely woods. It is generally quiet, particularly in the woodland lodges. The rooms are comfortable and have all the necessary amenities. My only criticism is that the food has generally become worse since they were taken over. Everything was a bit salty and the choices of food and wine are limited. It was nicer when there was a big bar to sit in rather than just the restaurant which looks over the lovely pond, but isn't a place to just hang out and have a pint. They have clearly optimised the site for events like weddings. But overall, a nice place to stay and certainly my choice of the ones near the airport."

"A good hotel, better organisation around check in time would improve ratings, the bed was reasonably comfortable, however the pillows are as comfortable as a park bench , i didnt sleep very well at all, there were two pilliws each, but they were all rather firm. Breakfast was good, plenty choice from cereal , toast, fruit , full english cooked breakfast as well as pancakes etc from the table menu, but there was a 25min wait for those at our time of eating which was @ 9am. Fresh coffee was very nice. "

"Would recommend for a stay in York 20 minute walk into York centre. Leisure facilities are very good and well maintained. Food and bar areas very good."

"A nice looking hotel but rough around the edges. Only 1 very small, incredibly slow, lift which doesnt cover all floors. This was impossible to use at busy times. The room was super hot, even with both windows open and radiator off. The fan didnt do much except alleviate the stuffiness. The spa was nice, but the lockers are stress inducing so you definitely need the spa experience to help you relax after fighting with them. The bathrooms were 100% designed by men haha I liked the free cookie when we checked in though."

"Just outside the train station, nice big hotel, friendly staff, great big room, lots of space to put clothes etc. Tea and coffees available, fridge and safe too. Nice comfy bed. The only slightly negative thing... the lift might take a while especially if you are high up with the floors"

"Breakfast was good, plenty of choice. I’d avoid the Sky Lounge especially on a weekend. Far too loud, and was laughed at by security assuming I could just pop up for a drink as a resident - they were full, but they had seats at the bar. I had to push to get them. Cocktails were terrible and over priced. Tried the bar downstairs, was better as you could hear but again the drinks were poor. Room was lovely, bathrooms need a bit of attention - you can see where they’ve done work (moving things like towel rails) and they’ve not re-plastered or tiled properly. Might have just been my room but for £235 a night I’d expect something better. No vegan option as an alternative for the cookie on arrival either. Not very inclusive."
