"The USP of this property is the amazing view down to Lago di Lugano across into Switzerland. There is also the interesting story about the old funicular railway to the rear of the hotel which closed in 1977 but may be refurbished and reinstated if funds can be secured. It is a rural location, about 20 mins walk from the nearby town of Lanzo d'Intelvi and the bus service from Como drops you about 400m from the hotel reception if you aren't driving. Accommodation in Morcote is hard to find but well worth the effort. Spend time meandering up to the enchanting cemetery, or through the quaint narrow alleyways, or join the locals for an espresso and cornetto. Early mornings are magic, before everyone else wakes up."

"We had a roof terrace room and it was a really lovely room. The staff at the hotel were very helpful and friendly. The swimming pool was gorgeous. Free parking right outside. The town of caslano was beautiful, lovely circuit walk right from the hotel and we walked down to the historic centre at night to eat takeaway pizza at the side of the lake, as well as eating in the grotto opposite. "Hotel room was decent enough and spacious enough for family of 4. Recommend to bring your own shampoo and conditioner. The pool and view however was spectacular. Hotel was conveniently located to some great restaurants and short drive to the city. "

"Très bel établissement ! Idéal pour qui souhaite se retirer au calme. Bon service pour un 4* mais attention à la situation géographique… la vue est magnifique mais la route pour accéder est très sinueuse ! Restaurant très bien mais un peu cher. Personnel très agréable. SPA très sympa."
