"Definitely will be going back. Staff was kind and room and premises clean. The only reason I gave a 4 was due to a person who said they were checking in by the front desk. This person had a pitbull off its leash and then got extremely agitated with me when i asked him if he could put the dog on a leash. So while I felt safe for most of the time there, the last few minutes could have gone bad very quickly. I kept myself calm and quickly gave the employee my pass key to the room and left....

"They were under a massive reconstruction and had no front lobby. The check in desk was not marked out very well, and with the hotel being understaffed, I waited 15 minutes for someone to show up and check me in. 5 minutes after getting to our room, the fire alarm went off. That's when we decided to check out and just push on through to home. They should have shut down for the duration of rebuilding the front lobby and maybe adequately staff the place."

"Breakfast was mediocre selection. Coffee was lukewarm. No coffee in the room at all. Staff not at all helpful. I asked for a receipt and was given a receipt for someone entirely different. I asked again in the morning, and the girl was more concerned about description of the girl that gave me the wrong receipt, and then proceeded to tell me she was unable to provide me a receipt. I would not stay again."

"The hotel is no frills and in a great location. The room was not ready for check-in at three and the staff was unhelpful and seemingly unbothered by the line of guests wanting their rooms. We finally got into our room about 90 minutes after the advertised check-in time with water bottles and granola bars as a 'sorry for the wait' bag."

Room was small but not cramped, though larger rooms with more amenities are available as well. Everything was clean and the bed was very comfortable. "Overall, a solid stay at Hilton Garden Inn Olympia. It’s located about a 5-minute drive from downtown (near 4th St), which is convenient if you have a car. The hotel was very clean and well-maintained throughout. The bds were extremely comfortable — we both slept straight through the night. Breakfast is not free (2 for $30) and buffet-style, with a good variety (eggs, sausage, bacon, etc.). Parking is free, which is a nice bonus for anyone driving in.
