"A lovely retreat overlooking the Douro, only 11 bedrooms so it’s very quiet and relaxing.
Everything about the property is perfect, clean, fabulous staff and a wonderful breakfast with loads of choices.
Tucked away but a short and cheap Uber or Bolt ride into the city centre or to the beaches."

"Perfect location. Perfect for a short break. Room was compact but very clean, excellent shower. No cupboard/wardrobe for clothes but a few hangers on a rail above a shelf. Adequate for us. Staff helpful. Breakfast excellent. Convenient for airport, we had a taxi on the way there but took the metro for the return to the airport. The stop is 10 mins from the hotel and goes directly to the airport. It was cheap. Gutted we missed the indoor market, stumbled upon it on the way to the metro. Will...

"Booked a superior king sized room with a city view. The room on the second floor had a Juliet balcony overlooking the city landscape and to the left a cathedral view, beautiful. Very clean and spacious with a lovely bathroom. A pleasant temperature in the room in October but also has air conditioning. The reception area is very modern and welcoming as were the reception staff. Wanted to ask one of the reception girls a question but she was on the phone. Caught up with me in the street outside to...
