"We attended a birthday party. The hall was nice. We had an evening meal at the hotel, which was absolutely delicious. The room was quite disappointing, needing updating. The bedside lamps didn't work, but the staff were lovely"

"I have stayed at Corn lodge a number of times now. Value for money is excellent especially breakfast and free parking. A suggestion would be to have a fridge in each of the hotels rooms."

"Room was ok . Dull dark decor and v small television. Table light worked but wonky and carpet threadbare in some areas . Clean . Check in was not very welcoming , lady seemed rushed and no pleasantries . Asked for more milk which didn’t get . Meal in the evening was good . Sticky toffee sauce was more like weak caramel. Decided not to stay the night so returned home so can’t comment on breakfast. Staff serving meal v good . "

"When we arrived, the lady at the reception was very polite and pleasant. However, in the morning when we were leaving, the staff were quite unfriendly and rude. Later, when we contacted the hotel to explain what had happened, they tried to accuse us of having three people stay in a double room. We were honestly surprised, because it was the hotel that checked the three of us into a room with two beds in the first place, but we chose not to raise this issue at the time."

"We have stayed here many times and generally it’s been very good, however on this occasion things were not on song, our first night the room was very noisy as a function was taking place and loud disco music until 1am, please avoid room 106. I did voice my complaint and reception staff moved us to a different room much better nights sleep second night. Reference to room 106, bed not comfortable and very low, bathroom was cold towel rail not heating up and loo seat falls down as won’t stay up....

"Nice selection of food and drink at breakfast, use of the swimming pool was an added bonus. Great sized cooprate room for a family of four. Ideal place for an overnight stay when visiting Sheffield Arena."

"We were really unhappy at first as the room we were given the toilet stank, I went to reception to complain about this and the only choice I was given was to pay for an upgrade.!! Although it was only £15 I don't think that this was fair, especially as it was uninhabitable The receptionist said that he would pass this on to his manager but I have not heard a thing We are going again, but are obviously very wary about it all We are going quite a few times to this hotel and the previous rooms...

"All the staff were helpful and efficient. The parking was easy and convenient. Room was quiet and clean. The card key was a bit up and down as it failed a few times. We booked breakfast a day in advance but the hotel paperwork was not updated so we learned to take the receipt down with us at breakfast time. Very good value and convenient."

"Breakfast food could do with being hotter and have some way of warming the breakfast plates. Eating luke warm food on a cold breakfast plate is unpleasent. "
