"We stayed with two kids and it was great. Nice friendly staff and animals. We didn’t try the hot tub or sauna but they looked great and we saw others trying them out. Breakfast was good (especially the cakes!). Very close to Krokur (small town) and lots of activities nearby (horse riding, hot spa, turf houses)"

"We travelled in mid-September. The property was right in the town of Skadjfordur so it was great to walk around. The place is wonderfully decorated and the grounds are well kept. We enjoyed an evening hot tub while we were there. We stayed in the main building and no one else was staying in the other two rooms. I wondered how it would be to access the bathroom facilities if the building was full. There is one bathroom that has the toilet and the shower. As advertised, they have a kitchenette not...

"Het feit dat er geen kookplaat was, is niet zo handig. Gelukkig hadden we zelf een electrische 2-pitskookplaat bij. In Hofsós is immers geen eetgelegenheid.De kamer zelf was heel proper, maar er was niet veel plaats naast het bed."

"The Kolkuós Guesthouse is a hidden gem! We really enjoyed the the quiet, secluded location right on the shore. The house is beautifully remodeled and furnished and very clean. Breakfast was amazing and served in the quaint dining room. The staff was pleasant and extremely helpful. The Kolkuós Guesthouse was by far our favorite place to stay on our trip to Iceland!"
