Guesthouse located in an old school building. Our son loved the big sports hall for playing football. Unfortunately the pool was out of service and we had some bed bugs in the room. Otherwise good value for money.

We loved our stay! The staff was incredibly kind and the property was so clean. The pool and hot tub were beautiful as was the view. Our room was spacious and right next to the bathroom. There was a dining room with a large variety of food options as well as a full kitchen for guests to use. We had free internet as well. Sorry our stay was only two nights because we would have liked to stay longer!

Good place to stay but…

We’re only here for one night so it’s a little pricey for one random week night But oh well We got in too late to enjoy the hot tub so that was our fault but that would have been nice

Bad customer service

We paid separately for a private bathroom. The basin leaked, and we had to use one of the shared bathrooms. The room was poorly maintained and most things and light fixtures did not work. When I contacted the property, they said that everything was fine. I expect Hotels.com to refund the price paid for the private bathroom.

Estávamos dando a volta na Ilha, pelo valor pago, em comparação aos outros Hotéis, deixa muito a desejar.... Está foto mesmo não condiz com o quarto que ficamos.... (O hotel foi adaptado em uma antiga escola, tudo bem antigo e em condições que deixaram a desejar). Cortinas no nosso quarto estavam bem velhas, os lençóis bem batidos, as camas estavam apenas com um lençol, deixando aparente o box , que estavam bem surrados... De todas as nossas estadias, está seria uma que não recomendaria. Na manhã do dia seguinte, estava incluso café da manhã....Fomos o segundo hóspede a chegar no local, o café estava extremamente frio, me levando a dúvida até mesmo se não era um café velho do dia anterior, pois não se justificava estar frio daquela maneira. Enfim.... Está faltando um pouco mais de cuidado.

Die Unterkunft war sehr sauber und wurde täglich gereinigt. Das Bett und die Bettwäsche war bequem. Die Schallisolation der Zimmer war leider eine Katastrophe. Wenn sich Leute auf dem Flur unterhielten war es so als ob sie direkt neben einem standen. In meiner zweiten Nacht hörte ich jemanden so laut Husten und Schnarchen als ob die Person neben mir liegen würde. Frühstück war ausreichend, mit verschiedener Auswahl, jedoch eher einfach. Der Pool hat mir sehr gut gefallen. Die Unterkunft liegt eher abgeschieden, was mir aber grundsätzlich gut gefallen hat, ich konnte sogar Nordlichter im September sehen! Der Geruch der Unterkunft und der Zimmer erinnerte mich jedoch an ein Altersheim.

Die Küche ist schlecht bis gar nicht ausgestattet. Handtücher waren nicht vorhanden. Also konnte man weder abtrocknen noch seinen Platz sauber wischen. Es ähnelt einer Jugendherberge. Frühstück ist ok, nichts besonderes. Personal ist nett.

Die Unterkunft ist zeitweise eine Schule. Solang die Schule geschlossen hat, ist es ein Hostel. Vor Ort gibt es eine Sporthalle mit unterschiedlichen Trainingsgeräten. Im Außenbereich gibt es ein Schwimmbecken und ein Whirlpool. Zum Essen gibt es leider nur Fertiggerichte, welche warm gemacht werden. Das Gästehaus ist sehr ruhig gelegen.

Pros : it was a cheap (for Iceland) option, the staff was very helpful and the hotel was clean. The common area to hang around had TV, a nice spa/TV. Cons : The kitchen was the worse one we've had so far. There was only one cutting knife and board for the whole kitchen (we were 4 to 5 families cooking at the same time). There was a lack of every utensils, pots or dishcloths. No oils, salt or pepper. The room is surprisingly small, we had to put our luggage on the bed to be able to open them as they could barely fit next to the bed when closed. But the worse was absolutely the fact that you hear everything from the corridor in the room, each noisy travelers speaking in the hall feels like it's yelling next to your ear. We had the room next to the shower, so it was also very noisy and people took shower at any hour of the night. We ended up barely sleeping, woke up many times during the night and went to sleep in the car...

Le type de chambre payée et réservée, confort avec vue lac à 115€ a été remplacée par une chambre de 9m2 de valeur 75€. Aucune autre chambre de la catégorie payée n'était disponible, et aucune compensation n'a été donnée par l'hôtel qui m'a renvoyé à hotels.com. Je ne sais pas si hotel.com va faire un geste, chacun se renvoyant la responsabilité.
