"Close to the airport. This is a 4 star property with a free shuttle and a beautifful property. My travel agent was trying to sell me on a 5 star hotel that was going to cost triple. I was very happy I stayed here. I would definitely stay again if I came back to Johannesburg!"

"I usually get a day room at City Lodge Hotel on my way out of Joburg. I choose them because they typically have a good online rate for an overnight stay. The hotel is massive - you could easily walk 15 mins to your room if it is at the far end of the footprint. The staff is always lovely and my room and bathroom were very clean and updated this trip. They have also upgraded their hair dryers in the wing where I was. Since I was only there for a few hours, I was grateful they put me in a room that was close to reception. The room is basic and everything you need from a quick stay or day room. "
