Not as advertised, the sea view is more a view at a construction and a little bit of sea in the corner of the window… However, the personell is friendly, the breakfast is good, but the rooms are very small.

The terrace on the roof is very nice with seaview and coffee and tea all day round. The sea view from the room is not worth paying extra for. nice bathroom! and very nice breakfast.

Below expectations

Good location, 2nd line from the sea and the beach. Friendly and helpful personnel, quick check-in and very easy check-out (just leave the key on the reception counter). Garage is available at extra fee. Delhaize food store is just next door, very convenient. The 2nd line street is full of shops. Breakfast is very basic, but served on the 5th floor, with a balcony facing street side. Sea View Single room on the 1st was way below expectations. No AC in the room, just a table fan. Furniture is a bit outdated and room design far from being cheerful. Only a fraction of sea is visible from the window. Poor sound isolation, it was heard every time when people entered or left the hotel, especially during night time. Overall experience: unfortunately the hotel didn't meet our expectations and the price we paid.

Il y a 3 marches avant d’accéder à l’ascenseur. Ce dernier est étroit lorsqu’on accompagne une personne à mobilité réduite, mais je m’en suis sortie avec les valises, ma maman et le rollator. Le réceptionniste est très accueillant et disponible en cas de souci (la télé ne fonctionnait pas mais cela a été réglé immédiatement grâce à son aide). Le petit déjeuner est très varié et très bon bien que le buffet ne soit pas énorme, il y a beaucoup de choix. Dans la chambre on entendait un peu les mouvements des chaises de la chambre du dessus. Heureusement qu’il n’y avait pas un jeune couple en plein ébats 😅 J’y retournerai si je dois aller à Nieuport.

Zeer vriendelijk en gedienstig personeel. N ette kamer en nette, ruime en mooie badkamer. Wel dag en vooral 's nachts last v lift ( kamer naast lift) en luidruchtige airco achteraan ht gebouw.

Das Hotel ist genau im Zentrum und (fast) direkt am Strand. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und sehr hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück ist super und in großer Auswahl. Leider war unser Zimmer sehr, sehr klein und nicht das sauberste. Aber es war alles im Großen und Ganzen wirklich gut. Gerne kommen wir dorthin wieder zurück- aber in ein größeres Zimmer, wenn vorhanden. Sogar unser privater Schlüssel wurde zeitnah- und OHNE Kosten zu uns geschickt.

Снова в Ньюпорте

В этом отеле мы, двое взрослых и внучка 8 лет, провели двое суток в начале августа. Скрывались от жары до 40 градусов, которая накрыла Европу. А в Ньюпорте температура была около 24 градусов днем с умеренным ветром. Номер на троих с тремя полноразмерными кроватями в отеле "Уленшпигель" был единственным на бельгийском побережьи, который загодя, за десять дней, мне удалось забронировать. Взяли, что было. И не пожалели. Конечно, отель не новый, маленький, с незатейливым бельгийским сервисом. Но люди приветливые, в номере чисто, постельное белье качественное. Однако, матрасы на кроватях не закреплены и их приходится поправлять. WiFi работает хорошо. Завтраки вполне приличные, за исключением кофе, которое не очень. Зато расположен отель рядом с променадом и из нашего окна было видно море. Дополнительным и неожиданным бонусом расположения отеля оказалось соседство с продовольственным магазином и булочной. Ночью в пятницу променад и окружение отеля живут насыщенной и шумной жизнью, которая почему то ночью в субботу существенно менее интенсивная. Рядом прокат велосипедов и самокатов. Остались довольны пребыванием. Рекомендую для семейного отдыха.

It was fine for a night

Everything was good. We just spent a night here. The staffs were very friendly. The room was okay but you can’t switch on the heater until evening. The breakfast was very good. Thank you everything.
