Comfortable and happy stay at Mama Shelter. The bed was super comfy! Staff are very welcoming and friendly. A little walk from tram stop and seafront but very near Nice Riquier station - perfect for day trips - and only a few minutes from a good range of restaurants and bars. Buffet breakfast decent with a good amount of choice. Options for the restaurant and terrace menus are a but decent.
The room had no kettle so way of making hot drinks, which is disappointing, and surprising given the level of hotel. I also couldn’t get the air conditioning to work. I kept forgetting to ask reception about it but at one point the control screen said “centrally controlled”. It meant the room never cooled down and it was uncomfortably warm at night which meant poor nights sleeping despite the comfy bed.
Overall, I liked the hotel, but the warm room and lack of coffee/tea making in room would probably mean choosing elsewhere if I returned to Nice.
