"Great place with a large property and large pool
Check in was easy and Jacques was an amazing host
Cold and hot breakfast was delicious and we were asked what time would suit us to eat, so the food was hot and fresh.
Family room with living area, kitchen and multiple bedrooms felt more like we rented our own house!
Thank you for the lovely stay, we felt very welcome"

"My husband and I recently stayed at AM Lodge in Hoedspruit, South Africa, and it was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional. Cal and Origin were waiting for us at the airport when we landed, and after a short 20-minute drive to the lodge, we were welcomed with cold towels and refreshing drinks. We were given a tour of the beautiful property before being escorted to our room, which was absolutely phenomenal—luxurious, private, and perfectly designed to immerse you in the surrounding bush.
Shortly after arriving, we enjoyed a game drive on the property where we saw rhinos, zebras, giraffes, and impalas. It was the perfect introduction to the African wilderness. Later that afternoon, we enjoyed spa treatments before having a wonderful dinner at the lodge.
One of the things that makes AM Lodge so special is their ability to curate a completely personalized experience. The lodge arranged a full-day safari in Kruger National Park with Bush Baby Adventures, and our guide, Aurelia , was outstanding. With 25 years of experience, an incredible eye for wildlife, and a wealth of knowledge, he made the day unforgettable. We entered Kruger shortly after sunrise and almost immediately encountered a pride of lions. The entire day was magical, majestic, and truly a bucket-list experience.
When we returned that evening, the lodge surprised my husband with a beautifully arranged birthday dinner. The chef prepared incredible sirloin ste"
"A wonderful stay in one of the cottages which felt very homely. The scenery in the surrounding area was fantastic and everyone at the Lodge very friendly and helpful."
"We loved our stay in the hotel, its a new hotel, clean and good facilities, loved the Spa and communal pool areas. Beautiful views across the mountains. Room was very comfortable with a lovely spacious en suite. Staff were always very helpful."
"Start with the good things...the setting is beautiful and the receptionist was very kind. The roads were well maintained and parking was easy. The place has a lot of potential. The disappointing issue was that the Expedia listing is not accurate and the owners were completely non-responsive. The restaurant is not open as described in the listing (breakfast is provided, though). Also, the tent I booked said it had a private pool. That was not the case at all. The listing for both tents listed a private pool but it was only available to one of them. That would not have been bad if the owner had given me the courtesy of a response. When I brought it up, they ignored my message. I know they read it from the read receipt. Later, when the power went out, I notified them. No response until morning when they curtly informed me of the time it came on (just maybe 10 minutes later). Coincidentally, I was fully aware of that time and didn't intend my message as a complaint. I felt they were offended by it since they didn't respond until 8 hours later. Finally, the 3 spiders in my sheets were the last straw. It was a tent, so maybe understandable, but I did not feel confident that I found them all. I checked out early and they obviously did not offer a refund. I did notify Expedia of the listing discrepancies and they attempted to contact the owners with no success. Beautiful place, but know what you are getting. As an experienced traveller, this is the first negative review of my life."
