"The staff is not particularly friendly; in fact, there’s no eye contact and not a single memorable act of hospitality. The air conditioning didn’t work. The room was clean enough, but extremely noisy: there is no soundproofing whatsoever, neither in the tiny window —literally a small opening that barely let any light in— nor in the door, through which you could hear the elevator, even though it wasn’t that close. The breakfast is functional, exactly what one would call “hotel food.” In short: the hotel gives you a place to sleep, to shower, and to take care of basic needs. But that’s it. It’s functional. Nothing more."
