"I am not really sure why the reviews here so poorly match the state of the hotel. It’s run down and a more than a bit grubby. The staff are lovely and helpful and do their best to take care of you but it doesn’t really make up for the fact that the hotel needs some serious upkeep."

"I stayed at the Le Richelieu for 5 nights in the beginning of August of this year, 2026. Although NoLa was more empty of the Isaiah tourist crowd and it was hot, I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel to which I return every single time when I visit New Orleans for a vacation trip. "Valet guy last night was very rude and demanded a tip after waiting over 30 minutes for the car and no one else was waiting. When we asked again where the car was the guy at the valet stand also had an ugly attitude like we bothered him"
