"For Memorial Day weekend, we decided to stay at the Plaza Hotel in Las Vegas (NM)..! :) The city is one of our favorite destinations in the state, and we love taking the scenic route (Hwy. 104) from Tucumcari to get there! :) It was our first time to stay at the Plaza. Many celebrities have stayed there, and you can read about each one throughout the hotel. (We discovered that the Plaza was used to shoot scenes for the movie, "No Country for Old Men.") "This is not a newer hotel and not competitive in pricing or amenities with several other hotels in the immediate area. They are making improvements, but this is a new “Quality” sign on a very old hotel. They are replacing the roof and you can tell that some upgrades were done recently to the room and common area. The workout room is decent and the free breakfast was workable (as long as you aren’t looking for any fruit). The pool hasn’t been usable in many years and it looks to be many more...
