Love this place!

Green River Hotel & Retreat was a really great place to stay. It was beautiful, clean, quiet, and the service was top shelf. This is our new destination point for trips to the Green/New Braunfels area. Highly recommend it.

Very nice hotel that was clean and beautiful views and very friendly staff. The breakfast which was included was delicious and fresh and we enjoyed it very much. We will be glad to go back again and enjoy that lovely little hotel.

I’ve seen in many places in Gruene. We really liked this one. Our room was nice and clean, large and our bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed the quietness of the hotel, but being close/within walking distance to everything we wanted to do.

Beautiful property and rooms. Breakfast was wonderful. Only suggestion in our particular room is to change mattress. Felt like we both were laying in a hole.

Wonderful stay

This is a lovely and very elegant but comfortable hotel. Gorgeous outdoor patios and it’s right on the river. (Many steps to the riverfront, but they even have a couple of chairs in the river to watch the toobers) Our room was spacious and we had a patio overlooking the hot tub. Easy walk to shopping. Breakfast was delicious, the evening wine and beer was enjoyable and overall it was a most wonderful place to stay. Would definitely stay here again if in Gruene.

Perfect Honeymoon Stay

I never sleep, ever, but had no issues getting a good nights rest with their cozy beds and pillows. The views were stunning, fireplace in the room was amazing. Breakfast in the mornings was delicious! Loved being able to walk everywhere in Gruene. There is free Pacman! We loved getting to know the kind staff members. Everything was just perfect and we cant wait to return!

Absolutely beautiful property located on the river and steps away from Gruene Hall. Our room was very comfortable and had everything we needed. We enjoyed the complimentary late afternoon beer, wine, and snacks along with the morning breakfast which was outstanding. Great game room with large screen tv, shuffle board and pool table. Overall quiet property with so many amenities, something for everyone! Looking forward to our next visit!

Incredible!

Happened upon the Gruene River Hotel & Retreat on Hotels.com. What a find! Can’t say enough about the staff, accommodations, location, the list goes on and on. Newly renovated back porch is incredible. View off the back of the building is incredible. Wildlife roaming around the property is amazing. Homemade free breakfast was terrific. Each room has a unique layout and motif. The personal attention is the best I’ve ever seen and I’ve stayed at hotels extensively in my life. There aren’t enough stars to give this place what it deserves! We will absolutely be back, likely with family and friends in tow!
