"Our expectations were probably a little high for the price we paid. As it's a cave hotel in Cappadocia, we knew the rooms would have character, but ours was quite small. The beds however were clean and comfortable. No balcony off the standard stone twin room.
The standout was definitely the staff—they were incredibly warm, welcoming, and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. The breakfast spread was excellent, and the sunrise views of the hot air balloons were absolutely breathtaking.
One downside was that the onsite restaurant only serves breakfast, so you'll need to head out for lunch and dinner. Thankfully, there are plenty of restaurants within walking distance.
As for Cappadocia itself, it's a very tourist-focused destination. We found that two nights was plenty of time to experience the main attractions, such as the balloon ride and valley tours. If you're planning to buy rugs or souvenirs, we found the selection and prices to be better in Istanbul.
Overall, it's a charming cave hotel in a fantastic location for balloon viewing, with minimal amenities but exceptional hospitality. If you're looking for a unique stay and don't mind a smaller room, it's a lovely base for exploring Cappadocia."
