"Our stay at Maalu Maalu was excellent. The rooms are well designed for families and the bathroom in particular is huge. The pool area is great with lots of loungers available. The beach is incredible with calm shallow water which is perfect for young children. The breakfast was vast and catered for everyone including an omelette bar which my husband loved."

"โFantastic Modern Hotel with Unbeatable Value! โThe Room: Big, clean, and modern. If you book the Deluxe Ocean View, you can walk straight from your room to the beach. โDining & Service: Friendly staff and delicious food with a great variety of Continental and Sri Lankan dishes. โAmenities: Lots to do on-site! There is a great spa (highly recommend the head massage), games room, badminton court, beach volleyball, and bike rentals. โThe Beach & Activities: The water was perfectly warm in July. The immediate beach has a lot of coral, but just to the left of the property is a gorgeous, sandy beach perfect for swimming. There are also plenty of water sports nearby (jet ski, banana boats, snorkeling, diving). โThe Verdict: I definitely recommend Amaya over the neighboring hotels. Great stay!"

"The staff were absolutely amazing and accommodating. My dad has Dementia and the staff made sure both he and my mum were well looked after and attended to. The beach and pool were both clean and not crowded. The food was good - particularly the local Sri Lankan dishes. And the drinks were good."

"We had a good stay at Riviera, good location, away from the busy roads, very good for walking, particularly in the nearby beach. The room was fine, good outside veranda, bed and towels good. The restaurant was excellent, very good, probably the best restaurant in the area. Food is made to order, fresh and of a very high standard, wide and varied choice. Go for an early walk on the beach and watch the local fisherman, interesting. "
