WORST HOTEL EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE.
During a genuine medical emergency with my best friend hospitalized, I spent hours trying to move a reservation by one single day. The hotel had availability. I was not asking for a refund — only minimal flexibility. Instead, they hid behind policy and demanded consent letters, credit card ID, and even a doctor's note while I was sitting in a hospital dealing with an emergency. I am not interrupting doctors and nurses to justify a hotel stay. I could not access the paperwork they wanted and made clear I would provide whatever they required later - they still refused.
Expedia is not at fault; they made repeated calls on my behalf and have successfully handled 25-50 changes for me over thousands of bookings. In over 3,000 hotel stays worldwide, this is the only property that has ever behaved with this level of rigidity and indifference. I have written off the money. What remains is the complete absence of judgment, humanity, and basic decency. Beyond unacceptable.
