Nice property with their very own highland coos. Room was simple, but bed mattress had seen better days. Like sleeping on springs. Easy walk to the beach. Two dining options with reasonable selections. Got scammed by Expedia when I need to cut off a day, so basically I paid for no one to be there.

We were touring around and this was a great location, with the beaches of Nairn nearby and good connections to travel wider afield to Inverness and Loch Ness in one direction and Aviemore in the other. The facilities were what you'd expect and we enjoyed the bar and dining in the restaurant on both nights we stayed there - excellent food and service. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout, with our many questions about places to go etc. It was also fascinating to learn about the link with Charlie Chaplin, and I would happily stay there again.

Bad experiencie

The staff are very attentive; however, the hotel’s facilities leave much to be desired: the carpets are torn in some areas, the same goes for some armchairs, and the furniture in general is very worn out. The breakfast offers little variety. Our intention was to stay in a castle, but we were disappointed by the worn and neglected appearance of the hotel’s interior

Lovely hotel on park like setting

Beautiful hotel in wooded setting. We stayed in the courtyard room outside of main hotel. Very quiet. We added breakfast which was very nice & convenient in the lovely dining room. Only issue was the bed comfort. There were “straps” joining the mattress to make it a larger size but no mattress cover which was quite uncomfortable. Our request for a mattress cover & top sheet be added was done before bed. Duvets are nice but very warm so top sheet was perfect.

It was perfectly good for the price, but in truth the hotel needs some updating. Nice and quite, and an easy walk into town for some other food options.

Great place in Nairn

Great place for our last night in Scotland. Close to Inverness airport. Dinner and breakfast were delicious. Rooms were comfy. Great view of water in the distance. Friendly staff.
