"We arrived a little early to this magnificent property. We were welcomed in to the beautiful sitting room to wait for our room to be ready. Such lovely helpful staff, and so friendly and welcoming. The room was amazing, and we also spent time in the sitting room in the evening, playing cards with the fire kindly lit for our benefit. This is a little piece of the history, well worth a stay to experience it."

"The shower should have had a shower mat it was very slidey plus no mirror on top of dresser and plus we didn't get checking inat the stated time"

Frühstücksbuffett eher für irischen Geschmack ausgerichtet, aber auch ordentlich andere Lebensmittel zur Auswahl. Die Atmosphäre im Hotel empfand ich als steif und aufgesetzt freundlich. Wenig hilfsbereite Menschen."

"The hotel is centrally located in the city of Derry with large clean modern rooms. The bar is essentially the pub next door, which is quite busy. There aren't any real hotel amenities eg lobby or gym, so i did find it tricky without room servi e late at night. Nonetheless in normal hours it is great and comfortable place to stay."

"Recently refurbished and looking great. The reception staff on check were very professional and helpful. The room was in excellent condition and very clean. The bar/restaurant was very busy on Sunday early evening and was a bit confusing as to how to order food. When it came the food was fresh, tasty and well prepared. The breakfast was a bit odd, eaten in the restaurant and had to wait quite a few minutes before a member of staff arrived to book us in. However, the buffet was in an adjoining...

"This was my 3rd stay at The City Hotel. It has always been perfect for location, staff and food. Unfortunately this time it was undergoing renovations and the place is a little dishevelled and dusty. But will return in the future when the work has been completed."

"Great place to sleep and a clean shower. Parking is free, but you will drive down a narrow alley to the car park. We had a VW Golf that fit just barely down this alley. Easy access to keys and room."

"The shower head is fixed to wall above shower screen doors,so when you take a shower the head of shower was spraying everywhere which I didn’t realise it was wetting my clothes that I was putting on and wash bag.this was room 105 I told them this but poor apology. I bet this will not be fixed "

"Nous avions réservé un sejour de 4 nuits dans cet hotel et avons été tres agréablement surpris par la beauté des lieux mais malheureusement cela ne compense pas pour de nombreux défauts qui ne nous ont pas permis de profiter de notre sejour de façon optimale. Les horaires de check in/out sont peu commodes : arrivée à 15h et départ avant 10h. Sur les lieux nous avons réalisé que nous n'avions pas reçu de code d'entrée ni de details d'acceuil.
