"room is very clean; nice smell; view is great; their soaps and shampoos are organic; however there was a day when the housekeeping cleaned our room and left it open. the door was open when we arrived in the evening, which was very unsafe. we have to call the reception to have it fixed. why did the housekeeping leave it open and unfixed."

"The room was excellent. I wish hotels, not just this one, would provide enough coffee for at least four cups. Happy hour was great, we had Gambas plus mussels and frites, both were excellent and reasonably priced. Breakfast was also excellent and very reasonably priced. Very nice, quite atmosphere and attentive staff. "

"Has a lot of potential , wifi should be fixed , loved the candy machine on 2nd floor with tap. On 3rd floor is very quiet , had a good sleep. Overall good value , what’s the point paying for a very expensive hotel in area when you just need a good bed linens and quiet . It served it purpose well. If you are looking for a chic modern luxury place , this is not it. If you are looking for value , quirky , quiet sleep. This one is for you . "

"The room was extremely cold… and no way to adjust the temperature, no phone number to call anyone for help … I had to sleep with my winter jacket on ….no extra blankets either, bathroom floors extremely slippery when wet … place was clean and convenient to walk around downtown… but the frustration of being cold and not able to sleep due to cold make this terrible "

"Perfect for a couple days get away. Nice place in the middle of the pub and restaurant area of Halifax. Rooms were clean and had all the amenities. The breakfast was great - lots of variety. Staff was pleasant and accommodating. Be sure to visit Maxwell's Pub across the street and order the best wings ever!"
