Hotels near Raku Art Museum

"No good shopping nearby. Towels and toilet were smelly. Staff did not seem happy to help. We thought staying next to Nijo station would be convenient, but this wasn’t worth it considering the nearly 30 noisy ambulances that went by during our two day stay. Breakfast was ok. "

"Breakfast was ok. Staff were friendly and helpful. Location is close to the imperial palace, but not to other sites of Kyoto. The subway is close, as is the bus stop, plenty of convenience stores close by. We had booked the family room, which was quite tight for 3 adults, but we still enjoyed our stay here."

"One of my favorite hotels I stayed in! Hot springs were incredible, room and shared spaces were very clean. It’s a bit away from all the crowds but still close enough to the station and bus stops making it easy for transportation to farther places when you don’t feel like walking or weather isn’t the best. Huge fan of the late night ramen and ice cream available! Would definitely return."

" We stayed with our family in kyoto for almost a week at the ACE. The rooms were big enough and it was a reasonably priced for a good location hotel in Kyoto. But to be honest, that was it. The staff is very very young and perhaps thats the reason that the customer service wasnt very good. When I asked for recommendations for things prior to coming to a foreign country, all I got were website recommendations and not actual specific tours. I asked one of the staff about changing the timing for dinner and the response I got was that maybe I should just keep the dinner reservation without any other rec for a new place. I did appreciate that the staff were very responsive to anything I needed for the room. I just think they need to do a better job of responding to emails and making better recommendations. "

"Fantastic location close to Karasuma-Oike station. There is a 7-Eleven nearby as well as a Starbucks. The toiletries are available in the lobby (toothbrush, razor etc) which seems to be the case in Japanese hotels. The hotel has all the essentials - microwave, vending machines, etc. There is also an excellent teishoku restaurant nearby called Rokkaku Kitchen 109 - I highly recommend. The only thing I will fault is the AC control is in Japanese but if you use Google Lens / hover your camera over the controls, it will translate to English for you."

"Black mold all over the bathroom, AC just blew hot air. Pills were rock hard. Would not recommend."

"We loved the laundry in the room, especially with the baby. The staff were very accommodating and kind! The location is pretty much a 30 minute walk to everything and the Karasuma line it around the corner!!! "
