"Unbelievable experience arrived at the hotel to be told we must supply a passport or driving licence to stay at the hotel which is a bloody joke unlike the massive % of the chain that house refugees with 0 I'd but I guess that doesn't count"

"Room was modern and clean. Bed was comfy. Hotel is pet friendly. It says the room has a dog bed and dog treats included in the £25 but it didn’t. I would recommend taking your own dog bed. We were a bit disappointed about this. Breakfast was lovely. Had food in the hotel bar - food was fine for a hotel bar. Spa was lovely and relaxing - worth a visit. The overall site is lovely - nice to walk around and visit the bakehouse. Would recommend overall. "

"We had to ask to move rooms, as there was a noisy fan (or similar) running outside the window. Room change was effected quickly and without any fuss"

"First room was appalling…. Usually every village hotel experience we have had has been first class and clean. Not the case with Bury unfortunately. We told staff and got another room which was better (club room) but still had some blood? Stain on the walls and windows were marked with hand marks but I was too embarrassed to complain again. The corridors, lifts and general areas were grubby. We have stayed at Hull, Chester, Edinburgh and this was by far a total letdown."

"We didnt see any shops, my only reason for one low score, is that we were in room 7 on Friday 20th March. When we went to the room the smell of Fresh paint was very strong. The young lady on reception moved us to another room. Which was perfect. "
