"The hotel is perfectly placed, and just a short stroll from the historic Bryggen Wharf, and nearby shops and restaurants. Breakfast was excellent with so much to choose from. The room was clean and comfortable. Parking was available at the hotel although came at a cost. Overall, I would highly recommend staying here if visiting Bergen."
"The room was basically good and the hotel is in a great location.
On our arrival we found two problems - first, the sliding door to the bathroom was off its rails and stuck open. We had to wait till the following day for it to be fixed. The whole door arrangement cheapened the look of what was otherwise a comfortable room.
The second problem was the shower faucet. It was a fairly standard that you had to switch the water from the bath faucet to shower head. Problem was that it didn’t work, without of the water going down the bath and limited water to the shower. It was not fixed during our stay.
A related problem was that the shower head screen didn’t seal against the bath, so there was always water on the floor after a shower. We didn’t report this problem."
"I took my niece to Bergen for her college graduation present and we stayed at this hotel. It was within walking distance to the city center and all the fun attractions. The breakfast was amazing and the staff was wonderful. We had a great time."
"We had a great stay here, staff was wonderful and helpful. Biggest room we've had in Scandinavia as well. And love the fact that there's an actual shower door unlike other hotels in this region lol. Brekky is fine, not as posh as other places but has enough to keep you satisfied while you do a full day of touristing. Location is great, just a short walk to city center and there's a grocery store about a 2 minute walk away"
"Does not feel like family hotel. Access to front lobby not secure. Bar noise gets very loud late into night. Checkin screen said shampoo conditioner in room. Not so. No help from manager either upon contact - phone, email. Window curtains had stains. Towels not clean.
Overall maybe a fit for solo travelers on a budget not so much for family"
"We enjoyed staying in this historical hotel. It was very walkable to all the local sites. The hotel was affected by the strike and our room wasn't serviced during our 3 day stay. That took away from our enjoyment of the hotel."
