"Met and exceeded expectations. Easy check-in, lovely big room, very quiet. Comfy bed and pillows. Great shower. Tea and coffee. Nice bar / restaurant, great choice for breakfast. Didn’t use spa so can’t comment on that. "

"It isn’t a large hotel which makes it much more personable. Beautiful spacious rooms, especially the ones over looking the river with Juliet balcony, where you can watch the ducks & swans- all very idyllic. Staff are helpful & always available. Downstairs gives plenty of traditional country style pub vibes. If you are looking for an upmarket place to relax & chill out, this is the place to be. A major plus is the free on site parking. "Went for my partners 60th birthday to go to sandown races, convenient by only being a 25 min walk from the lodge to the gates of the racecourse. Edwina was lovely, very friendly and the sort of person you could have a laugh with. Breakfast was vwry nice and plentiful. Would definitely recommend and stay again. Very reasonable prices. "

"Little gem excellent value for money! The room was spotlessly clean, with comfortable bed. Rooms have air conditioning which was ideal given the current high temperatures. We ate in the bar on the evening of our stay and enjoyed a lovely selection of tapas. Breakfast was also delicious. Thoroughly recommend. "

"As an American, being able to stay in a building constructed in 1598 was a treat! The building has been maintained and updated but retains the spirit of the original era. My room was right above the pub so it was loud for a bit but the pub closes at 11 and it got quiet at that point. My balcony also looked out over the Themes and I saw rowers shooting along it all morning. The restaurant also offers yummy vegan options. I will definitely be back. "

"This is a very nice hotel in a good location with a nice restaurant & bar. Only negative for us was the location of the room as our room was next to the fire doors which are closed at night so every time someone went through them the door would bang. "

"Such a beautiful place! The room was just stunning and very clean. Very spacious with big bathroom and free standing bath which added a nice touch. The staff were so lovely and helpful and the food was very good although my pizza was slightly more done than I would have liked but still enjoyable. 30 seconds walk and there is a lovely place to walk down the river and watch the boats. Lovely outdoor seating area to enjoy some food and a drink. Would definitely stay here again. "
