Hotels near Charles Dickens Museum

"We have stayed in a number of different hotels across London over the last 15 years, whether for work, a weekend away as a couple or a full family trip. This is by far the best hotel we have stayed at for what we need. The location is perfect for getting to pretty much every major sight, being so close to Blackfriars and Southwark makes it incredibly easy to get about, but we were actually able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. Rooms were amazing quality and size - as a family of 6 we booked a double double (an interconnecting set of rooms, one with two double beds and one with a king bed). We had ample space, the beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were clean and nicely decorated. Breakfast was great and the staff were incredibly helpful. The only negative was that we waited 25mins on our first evening to get a drink, but the bar staff were busy catering for a wedding so we’ll give them the benefit of doubt. Overall a great stay and we will be returning."

"Our room with four double beds worked for four of us for one night. It was clean but the air con didn't work properly. The shower was excellent. Would consider staying again with a group of friends."

"GREAT location and once they changed our rooms from a view of the trash bins, the park view was nice. The interior of the hotel is dark… kind of grim. Hotel is clean, quiet at night, and the beds were very comfortable. We only had breakfast and dinner there once during our 6-night stay. Both were OK… much better to eat out!"

"The room was compact to say the least. No tea/coffee making facilities, although there was a small fridge. The shower was good but what was a little disturbing is that you can be seen using the toilet as it is frosted glass... Room in the toilet is at premium too... The bed was comfortable and could ve raised take make viewing the TV easier. The TV resolution was poor and the channel numbers did not match the channel names. No City views from this room and it would appear breakfast is £17.50 not £15.00. Unusually, I was made to pay for the stay when I checked in, as opposed to when I checked out. I stayed on a Friday and Saturday night at a cost of £336.00, which was quite a lot. Having said that the hotel is close to Farrindon Station and Smithfield Market. (There is a realy good cafe on Cowcross Street opposite the market that does a full English for £10) The hotel is very 'techy' requiring a Degree in electronic just to make the lift move.. "

"Bedroom was lovely and service was great. We enjoyed the restaurant, room service and the bar, everything was great. We enjoyed turndown service as well- only ask was ice in the room at turn down would be nice."

"Quick check in. Really professional and efficient service from Abu at Reception. Room very nice and exactly as requested. Needed sheet and duvet for sofa bed - this was provided within three minutes of request. Quiet, comfortable beds and good two nights sleep. Really good price compared with local, similar hotels. I’d stay again without hesitation."
