"We booked a suite and it was lovely. The view was beautiful and the room was spacious and modern. The location very convenient. The only negative was that the DJ at the pool played music that was very loud and inappropriate for children to hear during the day one day. Overall, it was a great place to stay and I would stay again and recommend it to others."

"On checking day, we arrived around 7pm on Saturday. It was national holiday and carnival for 4 days in Panama City, Panamá. Jonathan, the receptionist, stated that the hotel is fully occupied even though we had a fully paid reservation for 17 nights . He apologized and asked us to stay in another Marriott nearby. We were pretty upset as we were tired and ready to settle in but we had no choice as we were in a foreign country and at the mercy of the hotel. We stayed for two nights in Marriott nearby. The third night, we got back to marriott executive apartments finisterre. This was very inconvenient for us and we were pretty upset. However, Miguel, the receptionist, called the manager,Eric and reflected our concerns about the situation. They both were very helpful and upgraded our suite to a one bedroom apartment with a great view. Even though we were very upset about the situation that happened to us, slowly we forgot and started to enjoy our trip and accommodation. Everyone at the hotel were very friendly and nice. The breakfast was excellent with warm and cold items. Some changing every day and some constant. I never got bored with breakfast during my long stay. The Resturant staffs were very polite and friendly. The cleaning room staff were great as they cleaned our apartment every day. I would like to thank everyone at the hotel for their hospitality. "

"The pool is cute, but I didn’t use it. The cleaning and maintenance staff are very friendly and helpful, the front desk staff not so much. Indifferent at best, not particularly friendly or welcoming. One thing I like about this place is that there’s a washer and dryer. But bring quarters and your own detergent. The desk staff have no change and make little effort to help, except to call the restaurant to see if they have change. I keep coming back here because it’s quiet, clean, and in a beautiful natural setting while still very close to the city and the airport. For birdwatchers, there’s excellent birding just behind the inn at the swamp (St Mary’s Catchment). These things, plus the affordable price keep me coming back despite the less than friendly welcome. "

"My girlfriend and I had a great 3-day stat at the Principe hotel in Feb 2026 for a phenomenal price. The hotel was very nice, quite and clean with large rooms. We actually got moved right away to a far larger room (for no charge) because the A/C in our first room was not working properly. The staff could not have been nicer. The location of the property in the nice and safe Congrejo neighborhood was great, with plenty of good restaurants steps away. In truth, the Principe was one of the best stays/deal I have ever had in my travels. "

"It’s pretty basic. It was fine clean. Staff was ok. I contacted them in advance to check about early checking, as my flight was arriving early, and I had some work meetings. They said it would be charged, which I agreed upon. But when I showed it up at the hotel, they said no."

"The windows and walls of the hotel are green with mold. The separation between one room to the other is paper thin - I could hear the couple next door going at it. The bathroom shower flooded with ease. The vinyl wood floors were coming off from humidity. There were no amenities (no hand towel, no soap, no hair dryer). Seemed to be an hourly hotel for unassuming couples."
