"We loved everything about the jw except the pool was so overcrowded and no chairs by 9am because people save them all day. We paid a lot of money to stay here and apparently they let you buy day passes for the locals and it was just many people at the pool. So if you are coming for the pool, I would stay somewhere else."

"This is the best Holiday Inn Express I've ever stayed in and it's the only hotel we use when we travel! The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful! The property is extremely clean and you can tell they take cleanliness seriously. It is very close to the 101, which is a main thoroughfare around Phoenix. Rooms were clean but could benefit from a maintenance - eg there was a constant loud humming noise, apparently from the AC, during the night, the blackout curtain was broken midway and wouldn't move and you could feel the springs in the mattress of the pullout sofa. "Canyon Pool bar and grill didn't open at the time advertised. There is not 2 restaurants on site, only the Canyon Grill, which is at the pool and has limited hours. Prices were quite high too. The room was supposed to have a main kitchen and 2nd bedroom have a small kitchen area, it didn't have any type of kitchen in 2nd bedroom. Master bedroom had 2 tubes of used toothpaste on counter, fork in dishwasher and coffee spill in kitchen sink.Communication to/from property was ignored. I sent emails...

"Clean, simple, easy check-in, nice to have a breakfast bar option. They charge for parking which is kind of insane in this area as it’s an area full of strip malls, not downtown. They said it’s because they don’t own the parking lot. It was $10 overnight but more just the concept. "

Additionally, the staff at the Hacienda restaurant were unhelpful and came across as rude. I also had to contact the Privado front desk three separate times to obtain basic information about the gym schedule, which was frustrating. "Rooms were great and grounds were gorgeous! We loved the turndown service and the cleaners did an amazing job daily, the only negative with the room was the intensity of the doors closing…we could constantly hear doors slamming. The staff was so helpful. The pools were great and the restraints were wonderful too. We had an amazing server for breakfast each day at Ironwood and had a wonderful time at Bourbon Steak with Devin as our server. The only disappointing part was the spa and fitness...

"Very clean rooms with a nice view of the country club and palm trees. Area is nice with a lot restaurant to dine in or grab a cocktail. The hotel also has a bar passing the lobby and pool. Receptionist was very helpful and polite."

"This was the perfect place for our extended family vacation with 2-6 year olds. Conveniently located just 10-30 miles to excellent short hikes, retail and restaurants. And the resort offered a variety of pools ( with pool toys), and an activity room with a variety of games and craft projects. Condos were spacious with a full kitchen, lots of living room and dining room seating, and a bathroom connected to every bedroom. We had two suites side by side to accommodate our multi-family gathering....

"All very good - the gentleman at the front desk (day shift) is a star - super helpful and just the right amount of friendly combined with professional. Breakfast exceptional. Didn’t use pool - but saw many others using it. Overall for us felt a bit overpriced - but appreciated it nonetheless"
