A beautiful place to do a long layover. Far from the maddening crowds and on the beach. The hotel is functional, not posh, and the staff were fantastic.
A lovely resort, garden was peaceful during my visit, and was able to use the pool alone early in the morning. Staff are great, very helpful... the whole resort is a little bit of peace away from the bustle of the city, but on the doorstep of great amenities.

It is purely the location. It is very far out of the way and to travel back and forth between things to do takes about 40 minutes to an hour bus ride. No taxis will pick you up in the area to bring you anywhere, at least this was my experience. The staff were nice and helpful but one staff woman at the breakfast did try to pocket HK$100 from us when we paid for our meal using cash. This was very normal behavior in mainland China but I did not expect it from Hong Kong as well. Just be careful and make sure to count your money and know what people owe you back and count it in front of them.
This is a sanctuary for those who wish for solitude.
On the other hand, the premise is equipped with playgrounds for kids and is within walking distance to the sandy beach.
One suggestion is get a couple of adult tricycles for rookie bike riders.
Thanks for a lovely time.
Easy to get to mainland attraction and airport.
Restaurants on site.
Ferry to Hong Kong 10 minutes walking.
Beach on your doorstep

I like the beach. Looks nice and clean. Facility is old. Needs some major renovation. It would be better to let taxi drop off heavy luggage for guests instead of half way, Especially during the rainny seasons.

Location great, this poor hotel looks it age. Didn’t sleep well because of noisy residents and got bitten throughout the night by mosquitoes. Woke up with blood on my sheets. Western breakfast poor so had breakfast in town at the china Bear for 1100H/K dollars each, well worth it.
This was someone’s dream hotel. It has so much imagination and playfulness. It’s welcoming and bright and varied and whimsical. The most amazing location.
Yet it’s rotten and forgotten. The food is really awful. The maintenance is minimal. It’s not clean.
Why has this place fallen? Is it lack of tourists? At 37HKD and 40 minutes from Central HK I don’t understand why it would be. Maybe a Michelin star restaurant would turn things around. A reason to go there.
the front desk service was very good. upgraded room to seaview. Room was very clear and deserve a 4.5 rating.

Great location if you want to experience the laid back side of Hong Kong. Hotel is a bit faded, but we stayed for the location so it didn't matter.

Arrive at 11pm
Morning ask for a late check out they gave me 1/2 hour 11:30 am
For a hotel that was empty they could have giving me till noon
But they wanted more money for a room that I only stay for 11 hrs
Sometimes curtesy is more valuable then money
