Sun Plaza Motel Mackay

"I spent six relaxing days at the Sun Plaza. Easy access to the city and surrounds. Very modestly priced. Quiet enough. Staff were courteous and helpful. Had an internet issue at my arrival but the manager arranged for techs to attend and sort the issue. It's not the Hilton but as I said the price was more than right."

"This is an older style motel but the rooms are clean, roomy and the bed is comfortable with crisp, white sheets and pillows. Nothing fancy with this motel but everything works and for an overnight stay with a small dog, it is ideal. The only unusual element is that the office is not open for check-in. You call a phone number and a woman talks you through where to find the key and your room number. We didn't need to talk directly to staff so no problem for us."
