I loved my stay at The Moso.. the setting is beautiful, and all the staff were amazing and so helpful and friendly. The food was great, and it was lovely chatting to the other guests. I would also highly recommend a walk to Embas beach for a lovely secluded swim!

Beautiful boutique resort in secluded paradise. Stylish and well considered accommodations, friendly and helpful staff, and great food. We kayaked every day to the shipwrecked yacht and walked to Embas beach for snorkeling, which was remote and secluded. Good snorkeling off the front beach also. Highly recommend and hope to return šŸ˜Š

The staff were absolutely amazing. Friendly, helpful, and exceptionally personable. I honestly couldn't speak more highly of them.The resort itself was stunning. The location was fantastic, with an easy walk across to the other side of the island where you'll find the most beautiful beach. We stayed in a hilltop villa, and the views from our room were breathtaking. It was the perfect place to disconnect, unwind, and escape from everyday life.The only reason for my slightly lower rating was the food. While it was delicious and well prepared, it wasn't quite what I had hoped for. I was looking forward to enjoying more traditional local cuisine, with an abundance of fresh fruit, vegetables, fish, and seafood. Instead, the menu felt quite Westernised. I'm sure there are reasons for this, but for me, one of the highlights I was anticipating was experiencing more of the local, fresh produce and flavours.

The staff are amazing, if not for this wonderful crew The Moso would not be what it is without them. Their beautiful smiles, they remember everyoneā€™s names and ensure every part of your stay is catered for. Remember there are no shops near by other than the village shop which holds minimal items, so pack the extra nibbles and treats. The bistro at the resort ran out whilst we were there. Remembering you are on a secluded island & delivery of items can take time.

This was the perfect place for our honeymoon stay. The rooms are secluded from others, neat and tidy, the food was impeccable and the staff were an absolute delight. We look forward to returning in the future to experience even more of what the MOSO has to offer

The staff really truly makes this stay amazing. They are so happy, so helpful, they made the stay great. The ocean views are fantastic and villas large and spacious. It is an experience to stay there. The island is a smaller island off the main island and there are no shopping centres, no TV no intent, nothing to distract you from total immersion into nature. Forest on one side, ocean on the other side, this resort was made for relaxation. We loved using the complimentary kayaks to explore the reef and the reef on the other side of the island was our favourite. Bed was very comfortable and so were the pillows. The chef made a great johlb adjusting dishes for my allergies, I notified the resort in advance about these and they were very helpful. The tuna steaks were amazing, never tasted fish so good.

For our first time in Vanuatu we managed to book 2 nights here before moving over to Port Vila for the remainder of our trip. The transfer from the airport to the banana boat and then welcome to the hotel was great after a delayed flight. If you have mobility issues, this probably isnā€™t the place for you as youā€™ll need to manage your bags on a floating pontoon. The staff are all incredible and so kind. We checked in to villa 2 and while we booked through Expedia, we were sent a text long before departing offering us an upgrade to a pool villa for a fee, We accepted the offer and it was confirmed but when we arrived, no pool. While disappointed, we didnā€™t raise this with staff as we could hear another couple have the same thing happen and were complaining so we didnā€™t want to put added pressure on the staff and just used the hotel pool. We walked to Embas beach, the shipwreck and both the local villages and it was incredible to see the local way of life. Again a reminder of our privilege. The food was great & while sometimes theyā€™ve run out of things, you need to remember youā€™re on an island as an extremely privileged tourist. There are no shops or other restaurants on the island so you may want to bring over some snacks. We booked the sunrise tour on our departure day but it was cancelled due to the tide being too low. The hotel also arranged our transfer from moso to Port Vila and the trip was smooth and efficient.

We stayed here for 4 nights and loved it. The staff are wonderful and very accommodating. The food was very high quality - I particularly loved the eye fillet. Just such a wonderful experience!

Pool villa 4 was nothing like the pictures on the website which was very misleading. Very poorly maintained villa. No minibar or even milk to have with a coffee. Instant coffee sachets were not fit for consumption. No room key or batteries for safe could be provided. Front door had hole at the bottom allowing anything to crawl in which occurred. Food below average and quite often was served lukewarm or cold. Extremely disgusted and disappointed. Checked out early. Certainly not 4 star and would not recommend unless big improvements made.

Absolutely gorgeous. My partner and I stayed for a week to just relax and we got to do exactly that. The food was really really good and there is a really nice beach on the other side of the island where you can snorkel on a reef.

I loved this place! Super chill, beautiful location, friendly staff, clean spaces. You can be as busy or not as you choose. For me it was a 'stop still' holiday and the Moso was perfect. The small number of guests made it relaxed and intimate, and you could be chatty or not - but I met some lovely new friends. Bed was super comfortable (and after two back surgeries I am fussy), villa was spacious, clean, and private, with a spectacular view. We went snorkelling, kayaking, swimming, when we weren't lazing around reading, eating and drinking :) Also staff will organise trips if you want to have more activities. 10 out of 10. Loved it, and would recommend for anyone wanting a real 'getaway'.

For those who's priority is relaxation and refreshing the mind & spirit, this is the place for you. The Moso has 15 villas, so there's typically no more than 30 guests. Many guests stick to their villas since several have their own pools. Yes, you can take trips, the staff will arrange boat transfers to Efate, a 10 minute ride away, or to Major Tom, the sailboat that moors about 15 minutes away. The walk to Embas beach on the other side of the island takes 30-40 minutes, but well worth the incline over the hill and back down. The reef there is even more amazing than the one out front of the resort. I had a massage booked for later that day, so I asked the staff to pick us up on the quad for the trip back, which they did. Friday and Saturday nights from 5:30pm you can walk 10-15 minutes to the nearest side of the village to Jerry's Kava Bar. Chat with the locals, look at the moon, stars and water from the porch. Take a few bucks in cash for the Kava and Tuskers (beer). The locals are some of the most delightful people I've met. Downsides: If you need to be active all the time, this is not the place for you. It's quiet, tranquil, remote, and sometimes they're out of a dish from the menu due to limited supplies. We couldn't get our pool light to work (put that on the bulb replacement list) and the in-room safe needed new AA batteries. Big deal, right? It's fabulous. We loved it.

The highlight is the fantastic reef snorkelling at a nearby beach - about a 30 minute walk from the resort. The staff and local community were very welcoming and happy to have a chat and show you around. However probably donā€™t go if you are bothered by getting too close to nature - i.e rats in your room - as the resort is in the bush and rooms are ā€˜rustic villageā€™ style and reasonably open to the elements. I liked it but didnā€™t sleep much!

Absolutely amazing stay. Can't rave about it enough. Do research before going - this is a place for total relaxation, happiness, beautiful people, most friendly staff, stunning beaches, quiet, and great food. No place to work, so forget about your laptop or internet. If you can accept these terms, you'd have your face smiling constantly from the moment you arrive by boat, till everyone's farewell you with a hug. Thanks The Most - can't wait to return!!
